A cohort is a creator-led version of a course with enrollment dates, seats, and a shared weekly pace. Cohort controls appear only when the course creator has made one available.
Choose and join a cohort
- Open the course and review the cohort name, start and end dates, remaining seats, and time zone.
- Compare its schedule with any Self-paced option.
- Check the price, membership requirement, prerequisites, and enrollment deadline.
- Choose Enroll in cohort and complete the confirmation or checkout shown.
- Return to the course and My Learning to confirm that the cohort name and dates appear.
Do not enroll a second time when the confirmation is slow. Refresh once and check My Learning first.
Follow the weekly pace
The cohort view can group lessons, quizzes, assignments, and events by week. Each week reports completed and total items and can label your pace as on pace, behind, at risk, or idle.
Open the linked work for the current week, finish its requirements, and confirm that progress changes before moving on. Community admins may send a nudge when work is missing; a nudge is a reminder and does not change completion.
Enrollment is unavailable when a cohort is full, closed, unpublished, outside its enrollment window, or restricted by another access rule. If the displayed dates, access, or progress look wrong, record the community, course, and cohort names and contact the community admin before trying to enroll again.
