Open a quiz from the course outline. Before starting, read the instructions for attempts, time limits, required answers, and passing score.

Public course pages can show the number of quizzes and their position in the curriculum before enrollment. After enrollment, open the quiz from the matching section in the signed-in course outline.

## Complete an attempt

1. Read the full question and its answer instructions.
2. Select or enter the answer for every required item.
3. Use **Previous** and **Next** when the quiz contains multiple questions.
4. Review the attempt before choosing **Submit Quiz**.
5. After submission, read the score, pass or retry status, and any feedback the creator allows.

A quiz can use choices, written answers, ordering, matching, or another format configured by the creator. Some formats are graded automatically; others can require review.

## Attempts, timers, and progress

Some quizzes allow another attempt, while others limit attempts or require a passing score before the next lesson unlocks. Closing a timed quiz does not guarantee that an unfinished attempt is saved. Keep the quiz tab open until you see the submitted result.

If the quiz becomes unresponsive:

1. Capture the course, quiz, and question title without showing your password or another member's data.
2. Refresh once only if the attempt has not been submitted.
3. Check **My Learning** or reopen the course to see whether the result recorded.
4. Contact the community admin before starting over when attempts are limited.

Quiz questions and answers belong to the course creator. Do not publish them in the community feed unless the creator explicitly permits it.
